The prices in real estate in Mumbai, in the Maharashtra region have had a strong rise in the last couple of months. The real estate prices for second hand homes have gone through a strong increase in this city.
The price per sq.foot in Mumbai has increased strongly during the last 6 months. In October, the average price per sq.foot was ₹ 13,985. In the following month the price per sq.foot increased considerably to ₹ 16,948. The price for the following two months in (December, January) had a considerable increment of 115 %. The price per sq.foot has barely changed in the last two months compared to the average price of the previous four months going from an average price of ₹ 16,626.75 to ₹ 17,272.5 during February y March

During November the price went through a considerable rise reaching ₹ 1.01 crores. During the following two months (December, January) the price has had an average incrementation from ₹ 92.59 lakhs to ₹ 1.06 crores. Based on an analysis of the first four prices and the last two months the average price has gone up 107 % during the last two months.
