The prices in real estate in Kolkata, in the West Bengal region have had a strong rise in the last couple of months. The real estate prices for second hand homes have gone through a strong increase in this city.
The price per sq.foot in Kolkata has increased strongly during the last 6 months. In December, the average price per sq.foot was ₹ 5,465. In the following month the price per sq.foot increased considerably to ₹ 38,873. The price for the following two months in (February, March) decreased 91 % with regard to the prior two months. The price per sq.foot has barely changed in the last two months compared to the average price of the previous four months going from an average price of ₹ 21,118.75 to ₹ 21,793.5 during April y May
