The rent prices in real estate in Kolkata, in the West Bengal region have risen considerably in the last couple of months. There has been a strong rise in the rent prices this city.
The price per sq.foot in Kolkata has risen strongly during the last 6 months. In October, the average price per sq.foot was ₹ 23.87. In the following month the price per sq.foot rose to ₹ 27.07. The price for the following two months in (December, January) had a considerable rise of 175 %. The price per sq.foot has had a considerable rise of 124 % in the last two months compared to the average price for the previous four months. This was obtained by comparing the first four months of the period going from a price per sq.foot of ₹ 34.99 to ₹ 43.49 during February, and March.
When referring to the price in Kolkata (cities), this has risen considerably in the last 6 months. The average price during our first sample month during October, is ₹ 43,591. During November the price went through a considerable rise reaching ₹ 51,188. During the following two months (December, January) the price has had an average rise from ₹ 47,389.5 to ₹ 54,159.5. During the last two months, the average price has barely gone through any changes with regard to the previous average values going from an average value of ₹ 50,774.5 and ₹ 50,766 between February and March.
